When you can’t plan ahead to see your doctor, turn to Northwestern Medicine Convenient Care for check ups, screening exams and treatment for minor health concerns. You’ll find high quality care for the whole family — when and where you need it.

Walk-in services include:

  • Treatment of minor illnesses and injuries
  • School and sports physicals
  • Immunizations (Meningitis vaccinations also available)
  • Lab tests and X-rays*
  • On-site prescription services

Rehabilitation services (i.e. physical, occupational or speech therapy) are also available within the locations listed above.

*Appointments may be needed for mammography and DEXA scans to screen for osteoporosis

Flu season is approaching. So now’s the time to protect yourself and your family by getting a vaccination.

Simply schedule an appointment with Northwestern Medicine Regional Medical Group or visit one of seven nearby Convenient Care locations.

School Physicals

Northwestern Medicine Convenient Care centers make getting school and sports physicals as easy and affordable as possible. With exams available at seven locations across the western suburbs, you can get the service you need close to home.

No appointment is necessary and last-minute drop-ins are welcome. Physicals are just $50.

Insurance Information

Please bring your insurance information to the Convenient Care center. For your convenience, Northwestern Medicine will bill your insurer directly for most services.

  • Some insurers consider this an emergency department visit. Check your policy for specific details.
  • Your HMO may require a pre-authorization before your visit. Check your policy for specific details.
  • If your insurance requires a co-payment, you will need to pay it at the time of your visit.
  • If you don’t have health insurance, you will be asked to pay at the time of your visit. You can pay by cash, check or major credit card (Visa®, MasterCard®, American Express® or Discover®). Payment plans are available.

School Nurse Referral Slip

If you’re a school nurse, Northwestern Medicine Convenient Care offers an electronic school nurse referral slip Cadence-health-information for you to use when reporting student visits.

Simply fill out the referral slip and send it to the student’s parents.
